This program is well underway and has been serving women in need at the YWCA in Seattle since last August. Volunteers have completed 19 stages (painting and preparing small units for women just off the streets of homelessness) in an effort to create a home-like environment so that they stay off the streets. And what we’re doing is working!! Less units are available for us to stage, so we are expanding our reach with the YWCA to a second building called Opportunity Place.
We will stage our first unit at Opportunity Place this month. Please consider volunteering. Check out volunteer times on VolunteerSpot at this link: http://vols.pt/5DC9iP.
Jill Logie is our HOPE at Home program chair, so please reach out to her if you have any questions (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Many thanks! We couldn’t do this without you!
