Worship Services Update for 2/10

In an effort to keep everyone safe over this snowy weekend, services are cancelled for all our regions. There will be no services at the Queen Anne location, Alderwood Middle School, or Renton Community Center on February 10th, 2019.

We are sorry that we won’t be able to worship together, but also encourage everyone to find a special way to connect with God this Sunday. Times like this can be especially memorable for our families so think of how to worship God in a way that is fitting (and safe!) for you and your family.

If you’d like a little something to guide your personal worship then our Congregational Evangelist, Daren Overstreet, made a brief video (9 minutes) to lead us in communion thoughts. Feel free to use this, or your own reflections, as you worship tomorrow.

“This is Us” Marriage Retreat

Register Here

Come enrich your marriage at the Suncadia Resort at our annual marriage retreat on March 16th-17th. We are thrilled to have David & Cece Bruce be our guest speakers from LA.

David Bruce is originally from Oklahoma but was wondering in Moscow, Russia when he was met and got baptized in 1991. A few years later he met his lovely wife, Cece from the Stockholm Church. Cece is a chemical engineer and became a disciple in Berlin, Germany in 1991 while on a grad school internship. Both their kids were born in Moscow, Michael (22) and Kristina (19) and were baptized as teens in the Turning Point Region of LA. After addressing his own personal addiction to pornography and embracing a recovery lifestyle within his Christian walk, David decided to go back to grad school and become a therapist. David has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2008 but also has worked as an Addiction Medicine counselor in clinical setting for over 10 years. At his clinic and in his ministry, David is often referred to as the “brain guy.” David loves integrating insights from the field of neuroscience with biblical principles in a clear, fun and practical way. His conviction is that if we know how something works, we will use it better. This applies to the human brain. David currently works part-time as an LMFT in Culver City and serving part-time with Cece in the Turning Point Region of LA. David specializes in chemical and behavioral addictions, depression, anxiety and couples’ therapy. David’s self-care regimen includes reading, running, going to the movies, and spending time with his best friend, Cece.

NW Youth Camp Registration Open!

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
– Romans 8:35, 37
The Bible makes it clear that “nothing can separate us from the love of Christ.” Our humanity tells us that when we sin, God is disappointed and will withhold his love from us. The word of God says the exact opposite. Yes, God is disappointed when we sin but even when we do, he is always there to help us repent and give us grace in our time of need (Hebrews 4). Nothing can separate us from his love. In addition to being a God of grace and love, Jesus Christ was a man of spiritual victory and conquest. Through his death and resurrection, he conquered sin and death once and for all. He was the first and greatest conqueror! As Christians, given the spirit of Christ, we can also learn how to conquer any challenge we might go through in Middle & High School. This is why we choose the theme for Camp this summer: “Conquerors.” How can we overcome and conqueror the challenges that seem impossible? Come to camp and find out how!

Our annual North West Youth Camp (NWYC) is July 14th – July 19th, 2019.
https://www.nwyouthcamp.org/summercamp/registration
Early bird registration of $430 per camper ends March 01st.
Regular registration of $450 per camper ends May 01st.
Last chance registration of $475 per camper ends July 01st.
There is no registration available after July 01st or on-site.
We are very excited to see you again and welcome our new campers!
